Ipswich Seven Ladies 3s v IES Ladies 3s
A chilly and very windy morning saw Ipswich Seven Ladies 3s welcome local rivals IES Ladies 3 to Tuddenham road for an earlyish 10am pushback. Ipswich took some time to get going but finally got on the front foot and had a couple of attempts at goal. However with some packed defending from IES it was a good while before the deadlock was broken. A clever little nudge from Kiya Smith in the D saw Vic Clement take the ball and dribble it around the keeper to walk it in the goal taking a 1-0 lead into half time. A bit of a dressing down from coach Henry Langton and Skipper Stens during the break saw Ipswich come out a lot more determined the second half and the quality of play picked up. A welcome appearance for Ipswich from SP this week saw some superb balls played through and into the D looking for the sneaky deflection but sadly it was not to be. No matter how hard Ipswich battled, the packed defence, the elements and what seemed like just bad luck saw no further goals from the team. Luckily some solid defence and super saves from GK Tabbie meant that none were conceded either. Therefore it may not have been the best game but it was a win and 3 points in the bag for Ipswich Ladies 3s.
