A weekend of joy

This weekend saw our Ladies O35s Masters and Mixed team face tough opposition in the England Hockey Championships.

A talented Masters side took on Colchester at Henley Road. There were plenty of goals with Ipswich coming out on top, 6-3. The ladies now play Barnes in the quarter finals.

Across the town, the Ipswich mixed team played a travelling Cambridge South. Looking a little worse for wear from the 'beer pong' social the previous night, the mixed team pulled themselves together and put 8 past Cambs.

A successful Sunday all round!

Despite losing many of the games to the weather, we also managed to play a few matches on the Saturday:

Our ladies' 1s beat Wapping 1-0 to go top of East Prem by 8 points, with just three games to play.
Our ladies 2s beat Bury St Edmunds 3-2 in a well-fought game - club legend Sarah Bamfield scoring a hatrick. The 2s are currently in second place, 2 points off the top in Div 2 NE with a game in hand.
Our women's 4s put in an awesome effort to Felixstowe 3s 3-1.

Exciting finish to the season coming up...now we just need the weather to behave!
