Ipswich Hockey Club is committed to providing safe, child friendly playing opportunities throughout the club, within our junior section and for young people (under 18s) playing in senior teams.
Ipswich Hockey Club has adopted England Hockey's Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey Policy and Guidance to ensure all those in the hockey family have a safe and positive experience.

If parents/carers/guardians are uncertain of the arrangements for supervising their child when participating in activities within Ipswich Hockey Club (e.g. coaching ratios, transport arrangements, changing room/showers arrangements for juniors playing in adult teams) please seek clarification from their team captain in the first instance.
If you have any questions or concerns relating to the welfare of any young person or the practice of any adult coach/player/official at Ipswich Hockey Club please contact our Welfare Officer without delay.
Our Welfare Officer will listen to your concerns and may offer advice to those involved to improve practice in relation to safeguarding and welfare where appropriate. Where required our Welfare Officer will also refer concerns to England Hockey and/or the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) or local Children's Social Care department as appropriate to the nature of the concern.
