Honours

Boasting one of the most successful Women's teams in the UK we should not be distracted from the fact that Ipswich Hockey Club is very successful at all levels.

The Women's 1st team as usual lead the way with National titles and European medals but the Men too have been a dominant force in the East for longer than most of us can remember and now back in the National League have their sights set on  Premier League hockey.

The latest 1st Team National trophy was the EHA Cup which was won in 2002

The U18 Girls side claimed our first Junior National Title in 2004 by winning the Cup Plate competition and did the club and themselves proud as they retained in 2005. The first U18 side to have done so.

Leisa King and Jo played a large part in England's Silver medal win at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and Jo also won Bronze at the 2006 games. Jenny Hall is also part of the U21 squad after gaining honours at U16 and U18 level. She has also been Young player of the year runner up 3 times. Finally Chloe Hunnable is part of the u16 squad that won silver at the 2008 Junior European Championships.

In the Men's section U18 England player Phil Messent has a bright future and Mickey Franklin, Jonny Gall and Josh Godfrey are the ones to watch at England U16 level.

Past Internationals that have played for Ipswich also include, Leisa King, Sandie Lister, Vicky Dixon, Jo Thompson, Kirsten Spencer, Jane Smith and Hilary Rose.
