October -Men back on winning track, as women 5's go top
The
Men 1's got
back to wining ways with a4-2 victory over Wapping the 2's
also won 3-0 against Broxbourne in a high scoring 7-4 game.
The 3's beat Bury St Edmunds 2's 3-0 but the 4's
10-3 to UEA 2's. The vets
game v Chelmsford result still not in!
The
Women 1's
did not have a game so the focus shifted to the 2's
who did not disappoint with a 3-1 win over Wapping. The 3's
lost 2-1 to Harleston 2's but the 4ths
beat IES 2's 4-2 to move them up to 3rd in the league
with the 5's
getting a 3-0 walkover against Sudbury to see them go top of
the Suffolk Div 1 table.

October -Women 1's maintain 100% record over Magpies but Men
just miss out
The
Women 1's
continued their wining run with a 2-0 win over Norfolk rivals
Harleston Magpies the 2's
though will have been disappointed to lose 2-1 to Sudbury but the 3's
were happy with a good point with a 1-1 draw with Cambridge
University. The 4ths
drew 0-0 with Lowestoft 2's to keep them in 4th place whilst the 5's
won 6-2 against Haverhill 2's to move into 3rd place.
The
Men 1's lost
a very tight game 3-2 to Cambridge University but the 2's
won 5-4 against Upminster and the 3's
drew 2-2 against Harleston 4's. Unfortunately the 4's
lost 6-0 to Pelicans 3's but the
men's vets
beat Shefford and Sandy 4-2.

October -Women 1's win Suffolk Senior Team of the Year

The
Women 1's
attended the Suffolk Sports awards on Sunday 17th
October at Trinity Park and were very proud to be named Suffolk
Senior Team of the Year.
The
1st Team won the EHL East Conference last season, only losing
1 game and have played at the highest level of their sport for
over 20 years.
Congratulations
to all involved, you should be very proud of your achievements.

October -Women 1's hammer in 10
The
Women 1's
banged in 10 goals as they beat Dereham 10-1 the 2's
suffered a heavy 10-0 loss to league leaders Maidstone and
the 3's
lost 5-1 to Lincoln. The 4ths
also lost 4-1 to Harwich but the 5's
won 3-0 against Sudbury 4's
The
Men 1's drew
2-2 with Havering the 2's
also drew 2-2 with Felixstowe and the 3's
won 2-0 against Cranes. Unfortunately the 4's
lost 2-1 to Felixstowe 2-'s but the
men's vets
beat Pelicans 7-3

October -Veterans on Vintage Form
Congratulations to the Men's
Vets Over 40s team who defeated
St Albans Emperors 6 - 0 on Sunday to move on to face
Chelmsford away in the second round of the England
Hockey Men's Masters Cup on Sunday 7th November.
Congratulations also to the Women's
Vets Over 35 team who made the
long journey to play worthwhile, emphatically defeating
Shefford and Sandy 12 - 0 on Sunday. They move on to
face Colchester at home in the second round on 14th
November.

October -Women 1's in line for top honour

The
Women 1's
will be attending the Suffolk Sports awards on Sunday 17th
October at Trinity Park as they have been nominated for
Suffolk Team of the Year.
The
1st Team won the EHL East Conference last season, only losing
1 game. They were 10 minutes from getting back into the
Premier League when results went against them. It was an even
more remarkable season taking into account the number of
senior players the team lost.

October -Women 1's back on track but men struggle
The
Women 1's
got back to winning ways with a 3-0 win over St Albans the 2's
drew 3-3 with Lowestoft. The 3's
lost 5-0 to Watton but the 4ths
beat Felixstowe 3-1. The 5's
did not have a game.
On
Sunday the Women over 35's vets
thrashed Shefford and Sandy 12-0 to progress to the next
round. An ominous result for other teams as the Ipswich team
were not even at full strength!
The
Men 1's4-1
to Cambridge City,
the 2's
lost 3-2 to Cambridge City 2's but the 3's
beat North Walsham 7-0. Unfortunately the 4's
lost 10 -4 to North Walsham 2's.
