The Men's Vet's also unbeaten play Shefford and Sandy and will be expecting to claim all 3 points.

The Women's 1's will want to halt their losing streak with a good result against 3rd placed Bowdon Hightown on Saturday. Bowdon have started the season well and were only 9 minutes from beating current leaders Slough, until they let them back in the game to share the point at 3-3. Ipswich will travel with a small squad due to injuries but are looking to work hard to put their hosts under pressure.

The Women's 2's face a tricky away game at Lowestoft but after missing out on playing last week the side are keen to get back into action and are aiming to claim another win to keep them top of the table.

The Women's 3's play their last game of 2006 and will be looking to finish on a high with a win over Sudbury 2's.

Men and Women hit by injuries suffer poor defeats, as rain cancels East games

Another week of not taking chances saw Ipswich lose their second consecutive game this time to defending Champions Leicester. The Women's 1's missed a penalty stroke and several good chances in front of goal while the visitors were very clinical with their chances. Ipswich must bounce back quickly before they travel to 3rd placed Bowdon Hightown.

The Women's 2's game against Bourne was postponed due to the pitch flooding.

The Women's 3's game was also postponed due to a flooded pitch.

The Women's 4's hammered 2nd placed Christchurch 2's 5 -0 and will be very pleased with the result and with keeping another clean sheet.

The Men's 1st suffered a heavy 7-2 defeat against unbeaten leaders Old Georgians. To rub salt into the wounds Ipswich Women's 1st team coach Nicky Thompson also managed to find himself on the score sheet.

The Men's 2's drew 2-2 with Bedford  in a good result that keeps them in the top half of the table.

The Men's 3's played their worst hockey of the season but still run out 6-3 winners against 3rd placed Lowestoft. The top two sides meet next week at Ipswich.

The Men's 4's beat 3rd placed North Walsham 2's 4-0 to continue their unbeaten run at the top of the East div 5NE table.

Men face leaders as Women welcome defending Champions

After the frustration of losing last week to Slough the Women's 1's are keen to return to winning ways against defending Champions Leicester. The Midlands side are on a good run at the minute and Ipswich will have to play well for the entire game to make sure of the 3 points. The home team however played superbly in the second half last week so will be aiming to reproduce that form from the start of the game.

The Women's 2's face 4th placed Bourne and will be keen to maintain their 4 point lead at the head of the East Div1N table.

The Women's 3's face a tough away game to 2nd placed Braintree, but Ipswich know a win would see them move up to 2nd place and back into a promotion slot.

The Women's 4's will be keen to get back to league action as they play 2nd placed Christchurch 2's. Ipswich are 5 points clear of their rivals and have only conceded 1 goal so far in7 games.

The Men's 1st face a daunting trip to leaders Old Georgians and will also face Ipswich Women's 1st team coach Nicky Thompson, who plays for the London side. Ipswich will have nothing to lose in this game and last weeks performances should have given the team confidence to believe they are capable of over turning the odds.

The Men's 2's face a Bedford side only 2 points below them and will be keen to get the 3 points on the board to continue their good season.

The Men's 3's remain at the top of the table but only on goal difference, so cannot afford to slip up against 3rd place Lowestoft.

The Men's 4's have an amazing  goal difference of plus 46 and will be looking to extend that against 3rd placed North Walsham 2's.

The Men's Vet's have a busy weekend as they aim to continue their march to the East title against 4th placed Peterborough. The vets are already 10 points clear of their nearest rivals so another victory this weekend will keep them right on track. On Sunday they travel to Woking for the first round of the Vintage Cup.

Women slip up to Slough but Men grab 3 vital points and enjoy the Cup game

The Men's 1st made sure of 3 points on Saturday as they beat Oxford Hawks 4-2 to move out of the relegation zone. It was a vital win for the Suffolk team and a large amount of thanks must go to the experienced Simon Miller who was persuaded to rejoin the team on Saturday. Miller not only scored but added some well need composure to the team.

Simon Miller

Sunday saw Slazenger EHL Div1 side Old Loughtonians arrive at Tuddenham Road to play Ipswich in the 4th round of the cup. Ipswich held their opponents to 0-0  for 25 minutes but then the extra fitness and technical skill of the visitors finally paid off as they rattled in 2 goals in as many minutes. Ipswich did keep battling and managed to pull a couple of goals back but ex-Ipswich player Oliver Diddeham capped a good display by the visitors with a superb reverse stick shot.

The Men's 2's should have taken all 3 points in this game against Chelmsford 2's but they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

The Men's 3's remained top of the table as they beat 3rd placed Bury St Edmunds 2's 3-1.

The Men's 4's keen to be back in action put 7 goals past Bury St Edmunds 4's and remain clear at the top of the table.

The Men's Vet's hit the highest score of the weekend, hammering 10 past a weakened Pelicans.

The Women's 1's lost 4-3 to league leaders Slough but played some of their best hockey of the season. With a bit more composure in the circle Ipswich know the 3 points could have been theirs. A lesson to learn as they face defending Champions Leicester next week.

The Women's 2's bounced back in style with a 6-1 thrashing of 2nd placed Norwich Union. Ipswich are now 4 points clear at the top of the table.

The Women's 3's played out a 1-1 draw with UEA to remain in 3rd place.

The Women's 4's played out a good friendly game with the Women's 5th team.

Women look to down leaders, as Men aim to clip Hawks, then tame Loughts

The Men's 1st welcome bottom of the league Oxford Hawks to Tuddenham Road on Saturday and know that this is a must win game if they want to improve their chances of staying in the Slazenger EHL. Hawks have not won a game yet and have only 1 point to their name, however Ipswich are not in great form and will need to bounce back quickly from their 9-1 thrashing last weekend.

Sunday sees Slazenger EHL Div1 side Old Loughtonians at Tuddenham road for a 4th Round Cup clash. Old Loughts were relegated from the Premier league last season and are mid-table this year with a mixed bag of results. Ipswich will have nothing to lose in this game as the underdogs. Hopefully several Ipswich players who attend Ipswich School should enjoy playing against their school Hockey Coach ,Julian Halls, who is also Coach of Old Loughts.

The Men's 2's take on 2nd from bottom Chelmsford 2's but they cannot afford to be complacent in this passionate Derby game.

The Men's 3's will be keen to remain top of the league and unbeaten as they face 3rd placed Bury St Edmunds 2's.

The Men's 4's will just be keen to get a game after their opposition cancelled last weekend and Bury St Edmunds 4's could find themselves at the wrong end of a thrashing!

The Men's Vet's will be keen to march on at the top of the East League as they welcome mid table Pelicans to Henley Road.

The Women's 1's face league leaders Slough at home and will be looking to extend their winning run to 4 games, and possibly go top of the table. Jenny Hall is welcomed back into the squad after a successful weekend with England U18's.

The Women's 2's will be back to near full strength for the visit of 2nd placed Norwich Union. A win here would move Ipswich back to 4 points clear at the top of the table.

The Women's 3's face a tough away trip to 4th placed side UEA.

The Women's 4's have a weekend off from the league but play a friendly against the Women's 5th team.

The Women's 1's made hard work of beating bottom team Sutton Coldfield but as results around them went their way they moved to within 2 points of league leaders Slough, who crashed 4-2 to Canterbury. Pleasing to see South African Kate Hector score her first goals for the club as she grabbed a brace.

The Women's 1's still buzzing from their 4-3 comeback against Canterbury travel to Midlands outfit Sutton Coldfield this weekend. Sutton sit 2nd bottom of the Slazenger EHL Premier League and Ipswich know that  a win is a must if they want to build on last weeks great result.

The Women's 4's face sit top of the league and this week play 7th placed Mildenhall, with their eye firmly on another 3 points.

The Men's 1st recorded a vital win against Plymouth on Sunday and will want to build on that performance as they travel to take on the University of Birmingham on Sunday. The Men's 3's overwhelmed Harleston 3's 4-2 and remain in 2nd place, chasing league Leaders Felixstowe hard.

The Men's 4's continued their 7 game winning streak beating Cranes 2's 7-0. The 4's have now scored 42 goals and only conceded 5

The Men's Vet's also remain unbeaten and top of the Veterans East league after they beat Norwich Exiles 5-2

The Women's 1's produced the most amazing comeback, scoring 2 goals in 2 minutes to beat Canterbury and move into 3rd place in the Slazenger EHL Premier League. 17 year old Jenny hall scored her first Ipswich hat-trick and the winner with seconds left on the clock. Hall now also moves to the top of the leagues leading goal scorers list, with 6 goals in 4 games.  Super Saturday comes to Tuddenham Road as Women and Men's 1's aim for sparkling displays on double header weekend.

On Saturday the team take on University of Exeter (12.00 TR) and then Sunday sees them welcome Plymouth Marjon (12.00 TR). a result from both this games would see Ipswich leap up the table and give the lads a real boost after a topsy-turvy start to the season.

The Men's 2's will also be aiming to find some consistency as they tackle local rivals Bury St Edmunds, who sit 1 place and 1 point ahead of the Ipswich side.

The Men's 3's tackle Norfolk rivals Harleston 3's at home on Saturday and with a 9 point gap in Ipswich's favour a home win is expected.
