England win by default as KT final washed out but King wins award 

A torrential downpour saw the final unable to be played and England, due to having the best points, were awarded the trophy.

A disappointing way to win it but probably fair after the pool results.

Ipswich star Leisa King won top Goal scorer, having scored 4 goals in 5 games.

Congratulations Leisa.

England down Spain as King keeps on scoring 

A 3-1 win over Spain saw England extend their unbeaten run in the KT Cup to 5 match's and gave the English a real mental boost over European Cup opponents Spain. 

Ipswich's goal machine Leisa King scored her 4th Goal of the tournament to keep up her impressive form and she will be hoping to finish of the tournament with another goal at least in the final.

Well done girls and good luck.

King seals win with another goal 

Ipswich star Leisa King scored her 3rd goal in four games in England's 3-1 win over Holland. The win sees them into the final of the KT Cup against host's Korea. The previous game against the hosts, saw a 2-2 draw so the final will be  tight affair.

King class act 

Ipswich star Leisa King is turning on the style in the KT Cup in Korea. King scored from open play in England's 2-1 victory over Australia and again in England's 2-2 draw with hosts Korea. King, like fellow Ipswich star Jo Ellis, will be hoping that her display's are making her selection for the European that much more of a possibility.

Summer league finals night 

Tuesday 8th July 2003 sees the final's of the summer league being played at Henley rd.

Everyone is welcome to come along and watch, the first 3rd v 4th game starts at 6pm followed by the final at 7.30pm.

A buffet will be provided for all after the game.

Reading bring European Cup back to England after 23 years

Reading Men won the European Cup final beating Barcelona Polo Club 4-2 on penalty strokes, 23 years after Southgate had last lifted the trophy. It was a fantastic display by the Reading side and one that is hoped will give the sport here in England a much needed boost.

Olton Ladies also came home with a medal this time only Silver as they were outclassed by hosts and 4 times Champions Den Bosh 7-2.

Ellis and King head East

1 week after returning from South Africa with the England squad, 1st team players Leisa King and Jo Ellis have been selected to be part of the England team that travels to South Korea for the KT Cup. 

The tournament, running from June 15th to the 28th, will be a vital part of England's European Nations Cup ambitions in September and England will have a stern test against opponents: South Africa, Holland, South Korea, Holland, Spain and Australia.

Both King and Ellis will feel they have a large part to play in any England success and we wish them both good luck.

The first meeting of the new committee  at Henley Road on Wednesday 4th June
